John Singletons family have hired a private investigator to look into events leading up to his death.
The hours leading up to the Boyz N The Hood directors hospitalisation on 17 April are unaccounted for and TMZ reports that his children believe that there is more to the story regarding his stroke and eventual passing.
The family is unclear how Singleton arrived at the hospital in the first place because he didnt drive himself there and theres no receipt from any car sharing services including Uber or Lyft, reports the publication.
Additionally, employees at the hospital reportedly said that Singleton seemingly appeared out of nowhere in a wheelchair, following his trip from Costa Rica.
Sources have also told TMZ that the mothers of his children have hired a private investigator to get to the bottom of things to find out what the Fast and Furious director was doing before he arrived at the hospital.

They say there is a possibility that someone knew about his health condition and could have done something sooner to help him.
The star passed away on 28 April at the age of 51 in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA.
At the time of his death, he was in a coma until his family made the tough decision to take him off of life support.
