The gloves are on for James Argent who has turned to boxing in a bid to tackle his weight gain. And hes in good hands as none other than boxer Anthony Yarde has joined him in the ring.

Arg, 31, has taken the big step of signing up to a boxing gym in order to lose some pounds after a weight loss expert said he was concerned about the TV stars weight gain and that he was on death row.

On Wednesday night, the former Towie star shared an Instagram photo of himself in the ring at Londons Peacock Boxing Club, alongside light-heavyweight Anthony, and personal trainer Tunde Ajayi.

Revealing what spurred him on to change his lifestyle, Arg said in the caption: Ive been warned Im on “Death Row” because of my weight gain!

Steven told the publication: I really am concerned about Arg.

Being so fat can often mean you are on death row.

I want him to realise he might soon suffer a heart attack, stroke and even cancer due to his size.

Arg, who is in a relationship with Gemma Collins, has made no secret of his love for boxing and recently said he was desperate to get back on track.

Ironically, James and Gemma briefly split in March after he fat-shamed her in text messages.
