Who everyone assumes is kissing:
Who Marx is most likely to be kissing:
Meet Thomas Perras, 32, a Canadian model and carpenter, who starred on season one of The Bachelorette Canada in 2016.
Although Perras (who wouldn't look out of place on the cover of a Mills and Boon) is currently in snowy Saskatchewan where he is putting up a roof in temperatures as low as -35C, he has close ties with Australia.
His younger sister, brother-in-law and three-month-old niece are all Melbourne-based and he recently spent three months Down Under with the newborn.
He's a regular to the country and plans to return in two weeks ahead of his debut on Bachelor in Paradise, where he catches the eye of Marx, a divorcee from Perth who left a life of strict religion to enter The Bachelor in 2016.
Perras has a history of his own. A fall off a two-story house left him wheelchair-bound for six months and it took a year to learn how to walk again.
The accident made him reassess his life and in 2010 he decided to enter a local model search and won.
He has worked for the likes of Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Lee and Wrangler Jeans and has appeared in Esquire and Vogue China.
Perras is said to be a surprise edition to the reality dating show that is mostly filled with old Australian Bachelor and Bachelor favourites, including Jarrod Woodgate, Keira Maguire, Laurina Fleure and Michael Turnbull.
