Irish actor Alan O'Neill, who appeared in motorbike gang drama Sons of Anarchy, has died at the age of 47.
His manager Greg Meyer confirmed he had passed away, Variety reported.
He was found dead at an apartment in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, according to TMZ.
O'Neill, whose acting career began in the 1990s, was reportedly a heavy smoker and had a drink problem.
Foul play is not said to be suspected.
In addition to his role as Hugh in the sixth and final seventh season of Sons of Anarchy, he also appeared in Irish soap Fair City and several movies.
Most recently, he played Captain in the 2016 film Urge.
His co-stars paid tribute on Twitter. "My good friend Alan O'Neill died today….we worked together on The Sons Of Anarchy…my condolences to his family," wrote Irish actor Timothy V Murphy, who played Galen O'Shay.
"RIP sir… may you find peace now," said American actress Kristen Renton, who played Ima Tite.
