Congratulations are in order for Gwyneth Paltrow, who it seems is now consciously coupled – and it's Instagram official.

Following reports she married partner Brad Falchuk over the weekend, the actress posted a simple picture of two hands with bands on the ring fingers.

While the shot wasn't captioned, fans have been quick to post their best wishes to the happy couple.

Paltrow, 46, is said to have exchanged vows with the Glee co-creator at a private ceremony in The Hamptons, New York, with celebrity guests including her Iron Man co-star Robert Downey Jr, director Steven Spielberg and actress Cameron Diaz.

The couple announced that they were set to wed at the beginning of the year.

In a joint statement given to Good Morning America, they said: "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship."

Last week, Falchuk posted a birthday message to Paltrow, saying: "You give us all of you, all the time. And always with a smile (well, almost always). Maybe that's why, even though you are the best person ever, you keep getting better every year."

Paltrow and Falchuk got together following her split from Chris Martin after 10 years of marriage, a process they described as "conscious uncoupling".

Paltrow and Martin have two children together – daughter Apple, 14, and Moses, 12.

While the pair have famously remained good friends – even holidaying as a family after their break-up – the Coldplay frontman appeared at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park at the weekend and reportedly did not attend the wedding.
