Fleetwood Mac were forced to cancel their show in Boston on Tuesday night (2 April) after a band member fell ill.
News of the show being cancelled was confirmed by the venue, Bostons TD Garden, but it seems plans to pull the gig were last minute as fans were still seen arriving, according to reports.
The Boston Globe reports that little is known when it comes to reasons for the show being postponed and its not yet been confirmed which band member was taken ill.
Nothing was posted on the official Twitter account for Fleetwood Mac, but fans were seen sharing their disappointment over not getting to see the iconic rock band on stage.
One commented: Came to Boston to see #Fleetwoodmac – flying back to Iceland without seeing #FleetwoodMac breaks my heart!
Another fan tweeted: I should be heading into Boston to see Fleetwood Mac but instead Ill be watching endless hours of Love Island for the second night in a row *sigh*.
Spent $50 for parking and went in to work at 5:30am to make sure I had enough time to get into Boston to see @fleetwoodmac, and they canceled an hour ago! #crushed, said a third fan.
Although one came up with a pretty good idea for those already in Boston to still enjoy their evening.
They tweeted out to fellow Fleetwood Mac lovers: Hey #fleetwoodmac fans in Boston with tickets tonight to #aneveningwithfleetwoodmac at the #tdgarden – want to find an empty Boston karaoke bar and rock out to Fleetwood Mac all night due to the show needing to be re-scheduled?
In a statement, TD Garden confirmed that the show is being rescheduled and advised fans to retain their tickets for the new date. Refunds are also being issued if needed.
Metro.co.uk have reached out to a rep for Fleetwood Mac.
Current band members in Fleetwood Mac include Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie and John McVie. Lindsey Buckingham was axed from the band last year.
The band recently confirmed that the decision to ditch Buckingham was due to his feud with Stevie.
