Final Fantasy VII Remake – its really happening

Square Enix has revealed Final Fantasy VII will be out in less than a year, although the new trailer will still make the wait unbearable.

Were not sure why, given their pre-E3 media briefing is tonight, but Square Enix has just revealed the answer to one of gamings great unanswered questions: when will Final Fantasy VII Remake be out?

The answer is 3 March, 2020 and only on PlayStation 4. Which is a lot earlier than many people might have assumed.

To celebrate the news theres a new trailer below, that just debuted at the Final Fantasy VII A Symphonic Reunion concert in Los Angeles.

Theres also some new key art featuring bad guy Sephiroth, but no other real information – with no reference to the fact that the original story has been split up into a number of separate releases and whats out in March will presumably be only the first part.

Some rumours have suggested that the first release may only take place in the cyberpunk-esque city of Midgar and while that is the only location thats been shown so far theres no real evidence either way.
