FIFA 18 BUNDESLIGA WINTER UPGRADES REVEALED

EA SPORTS has today announced a selection of FUT winter upgrades for the German Bundesliga league who have been included as part of this season’s FIFA 18 Ratings Refresh campaign.

And not, as we suspected, the Spanish La Liga.

The upgraded players include Bayern Munich trio Hummels, Sule and Coman as well as Leon Goretzka and more!

"Starting on February 23, hundreds of FUT 18 player items will have their ratings permanently updated as part of Ratings Refresh," explained EA Sports.

"Only new basic player items found in packs will have updated ratings, but certain existing in-form items will have their ratings automatically updated to reflect the Ratings Refresh."

Below is the list of key German Bundesliga players who have had their ratings permanently updated as part of FUT 18 Ratings Refresh.

But keep reading and you'll also find the complete list of Bundesliga players who have had their stats altered.

FIFA 18 UPGRADES UPDATE

EA Sports next batch of FIFA 18 Ultimate Team upgrades are nearly here. Well, we think. EA hasn't provided any definitive times as to when they'll release their next league, but we suspect, based on last year, that one will be coming tonight.

As we alluded to before, it's possible that today will see the launch of the new La Liga Ratings Refresh. If EA stick to the same schedule as 2017.

Assuming EA Sports also keep to their usual formula for events and announcements, then we could see the news about the new upgrades announced at 6PM GMT, which is just under 30 minutes away.

This is the time EA Sports put out their announcement on Friday, Sunday and Tuesday so would make sense if they followed suit later this evening for the next batch of upgrades.

For the time being, remind yourself of who could be in line for a winter Ultimate Team upgrade with the below gallery.

Stay tuned for more details.

FIFA 18 Winter Upgrade Predictions

These FIFA 18 Ultimate Team players might be about to get a BIG stats boost

ORIGINAL STORY – FIFA 18 players will no doubt be aware by now that EA Sports are halfway through their rollout of the FUT Ultimate Team Winter Upgrades. But, even at the midpoint, there's still plenty more to come and some pretty significant upgrades lined up for the German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga.

A new league is likely coming later today, because as we've already mentioned, the announcements last year – though they came sooner in the calendar – were spaced out every two days.

And with the last Winter Upgrade having been released on Tuesday, it makes sense that another league will be revealed this evening. Likewise, in the case of last year, the Ligue 1 announcement also came on a Tuesday, with the Spanish La Liga arriving two days later on the Thursday.

That being said, it's possible EA could mix things up a bit, either pushing back the announcement further or revealing the Bundesliga instead. One thing you can bank on is that the Rest of the World ratings refresh will come last.

For those who don't know, or have simply forgotten, the FIFA 18 Winter Upgrades – also known as a 'Ratings Refresh' – introduces some huge stat boosts (no downgrades this year) for FUT Ultimate Team players.

The point of this is to ensure that Ultimate Team stats reflect the realistic performances of players throughout the season so far. For Instance, Spurs Harry Kane has been banging them in left, right and centre and saw his stats increase from 86 to 88.

Whilst we wait for the next upgrades you can take a look at some predictions for players who could be due an upgrade, courtesy of popular FIFA YouTuber, ZAN 0MG in the gallery below:

FUT RATINGS REFRESH FAQ

Upgrades apply to new basic (not in-form) player items found in packs. Non-IF players in your Club will not receive an upgrade.

If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating equals or surpasses his existing first in-form’s rating, his IFs will get an upgrade:

An exception is made for lower-rated player items with significant upgrades.

This does not apply to Ultimate Scream items.

If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating does not equal or surpass his existing in-form’s rating, his IFs will not get an upgrade.

Ratings Refresh will not include any downgrades this year.
