
Former Home And Away actor David Jones-Roberts is lucky to be alive after being involved in a horror smash when his bike collided with a car in LA.
The actor, 28, had been riding to his home in Los Angeles after returning from filming iZombie in Canada when a car allegedly pulled out onto Melrose Avenue and David crashed into the cars passenger side.
I tried to get around him, but I hit the back passengers side of the car and went flying, David told New Idea.
He was told by a firefighter at the scene: You should be dead.

As it was, he suffered a nasty leg injury when he ripping his quadriceps tendon on his left leg.
David, who played Xavier Austin on the hit Aussie soap for four years before leaving in 2012, explained hed had to undergo serious operations to regain movement in his leg.

I had no control over being able to bend or lift the leg. I had to have surgery within 48 hours otherwise I might not be able to walk again, he said.

New Idea reports he had to go to a second hospital for treatment as he didnt have health insurance.
But Im alive, he said. It could have been worse.
