Elizabeth Hurley says her nephew Miles lost more than four pints of blood after he was stabbed by a ‘group of males’ in a shock attack in London earlier this week.
The actress flew back to the UK after her nephew was repeatedly stabbed on Thursday.
Miles and a friend, both 21, were stabbed in Nine Elms, South West London after they overtook a car minutes earlier, according to a source close to the police investigation.
Despite the severity of the attack, Mr. Hurley’s injuries are said to be ‘non life-threatening or life-changing’.
Understandably The Royals actress, 52, couldn’t hide her anger as she took to Instagram, saying: ‘My 21-year-old nephew was repeatedly stabbed in a brutal attack in London.
‘The police and hospital are being fantastic. Thank you for all your messages. It is an appalling time for him and our family.’
She added: ‘He lost more than four pints of blood. A policeman was patrolling close by and administered first aid until the ambulance arrived.’
‘The deepest wound just missed severing his spine. By some miracle, no vital organs were damaged. We are praying that these animals are caught before they maim, or even kill, someone else. These are sad days.’
Miles is the son of Liz’s elder sister Kate Curran, 54, and she is incredibly close to her nephew.
Mr. Hurley is said to have followed in the showbiz footsteps of his famous aunt, and has modelled for Italian fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Carvalli.
