Denise Welch has updated fans on her episode of clinical depression, saying she is through the other side.

The 61-year-old has been praised for documenting her depressive episode on social media, sharing videos of the hard times over the past few days.

Now, Denise has shared how she is feeling four days on from the episode starting.

The Loose Women panellist said: I just wanted to say I am through the other side of it. Depression is an illness. It doesnt have to be caused by any set of circumstances. In my case, my depression started to come on on Friday and here by Tuesday, its gone. Not one thing has changed in my life for good or bad, circumstantially, since then. Not one thing.

Denise concluded: This episode is done and its through and the visitor has left the building.

Followers and fans shared their well wishes with Denise, as well as thanking her for being so honest about mental illness on her Twitter account.
