David Schwimmer has been pictured visiting his own Central Perk – presumably to calm the nerves – after Blackpool police cleared the Friend actor of being a robbery suspect.
Grabbing a coffee, David tried to remain inconspicuous wearing a baseball cap pulled low over his eyes and wrapping up warm in a blue jacket.
Blackpool Police had posted a picture of a suspected crook in connection with a theft on their Facebook page – but the thief was the spitting image of David Schwimmer, and after more than 360 comments within an hour the police posted a clarification the actor was, in fact, in America on the day of the crime (30 September).
David then caught wind of the situation, and recreated the scene with a now iconic video which showed him trying to sneak out of an American store with a box of cans in his hand, and a sneaky look at the security camera.
Officers, I swear it wasnt me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation, he tweeted.
