A congratulations is in order for former Glee star Darren Criss, who has proposed to longtime girlfriend Mia Swier.
The actor announced the good news on his Instagram and Twitter on Friday, 19 January.
Taking to his social media, the 30-year-old posted a snap of the loved-up pair with the caption: ‘Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together.
‘And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage.’
Darren is currently starring in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, which premiered on FX in America on Wednesday, 17 January.
Criss stars as Andrew Cunanan in the series – the man who murdered fashion designer Gianna Versace in 1997.
It’s not clear when the actor proposed to 32-year-old Mia, whom the actor has been with for seven years, but People noted that the pair attended the Los Angeles premiere of American Crime Story on 8 January, and the writer and producer was not yet wearing an engagement ring.
Darren previously revealed that he and Mia had been together since before he made it big.
‘She’s been through a lot but such is the life I suppose,’ he told Kiss 92.5’s Roz & Mocha Show. ‘I didn’t know I was going to be on TV when we started dating… Yeah, we’ve been together a long time.’
Fellow thespian Michael Arden took to Twitter to congratulate the newly betrothed pair: ‘The future of love is safe with @DarrenCriss and @MiaVonGlitz hand in hand. Congrats to my beautiful friends. #engaged’.
