Chris is a little uncomfortable but how much hes worth, perhaps (Picture: FilmMagic)

Even though hes currently building a house thats been compared to a car park in Australia, Chris Hemsworth feels gross about his massive wealth.

Interesting.

The movie star, who has amassed a tidy fortune after playing the mighty Thor, has three children with wife Elsa Pataky, India, Sasha and Tristan.

However, the 35-year-old said his humble beginnings now has him feeling a little put off by his current finances, as he reflects on how he had to work hard to acquire anything that cost money back as a young sport in Australia.

I feel gross about it. I remember saving up for a surfboard when I was younger. The surfboard was 600 bucks and I saved up for a whole year with Dads help, he told GQ Australia. I didnt even want to surf on it for fear of damaging it. It taught me so many lessons about appreciation and working hard for something.

And even though he lives comfortable in the beachside city of Byron Bay now, the star – who is estimated to be worth $90 million (£69 million) – wants to make sure the sproglets dont take their wealth for granted as they grow up.

When I think about my kids, I dont want them to miss that joy, he continued. Elsa and I talk a lot about how we instill that same appreciation and respect for things. I dont want them to feel like theyre privileged in any way. The fact that we have money and their parents are famous, that somehow theyre special, that scares me because we grew up with no money.

Still, the actor, who is set to return to the screen for Avengers 4 next year *salivates madly*, admitted he got into movies and acting and LA out of fear of being broke.

I did not want to be broke, like wed been broke when we grew up, he reflected. I wanted to take care of my parents and my family.

And he certainly is.

His chat comes after pictures emerged of Chris mega mansion on the beach, which, when compared to the houses of his neighbours, seems incredibly excessive for a family of five.

Its said to be costing $8 million (£6 million) and naturally wont be your average two up two down – it will feature a rooftop infinity pool, gym, steam room, another big pool, six bedrooms, media room, games room and a spa.

Still, when you have money to burn you might as well invest it in real estate, eh?

And, hey, what are we saying – of course wed build the same thing given the chance.
