Channing Tatum has defended Magic Mike in the #MeToo era.
The #MeToo movement has seen people, particularly celebrities, speaking out about their experiences with sexual assault and sexual harassment.
Thursdays Good Morning Britain raised the question about whether Magic Mike, which features male strippers, should still be a thing given the recent global discussion about harassment and consent.
But Channing says that it is totally fine to appreciate the male or female form as long as its respectful.
Speaking at the press night of Magic Mike Live, he said: Its okay to appreciate as long as its done with respect and love.
Its such an incendiary moment, we could just be like, “ah! lets not look at each other, lets not talk to each other.”

We should have these conversations and talk about the hard things.
Channings girlfriend, the singer Jessie J, was previously seen enjoying Magic Mike Live from a private box.
Jessie, 30, was pictured in a private box at Londons Hippodrome as she watched Channing, 38, perform alongside the cast of the strip show meets dance spectacular.
The Price Tag singers show of support comes after Channing dutifully watched the Price Tag singer perform in London – sitting just a few seats away from Jessies mum at the Royal Albert Hall.
The couple were reported to be dating in October, shortly before Channings divorce from Jenna Dewan after eight years of marriage was made official.
And while they have remained fairly quiet on the details, Channing has bigged up his bae on social media, as well as being seen leaving Jessies London flat.
Jessie also called out people comparing her and Jenna – mum to Channings five-year-old daughter Everly – urging them to support all women.
The star wrote on Instagram: I rarely, but sometimes see that my name is involved in stories online that I do not agree to. I often ignore them as 99% of the time it is something that doesnt serve any positivity to speak on.

However, there is a story that I have seen be rewritten over and over again in the past few weeks that talks about myself being compared directly to another beautiful woman regarding our looks and people picking who they think is prettier.

And rather sweetly, Jenna, 37, bonded with her exs new girlfriend over the statement, writing: Amen Jessie! Yes!!!! Women for women all the way. No need for negativity. Lets live in a world where we support each other and raise each other up. Like I said before, positive vibes all the way. Nothing but respect.
