Carrie Bickmore has announced she is pregnant with her third child.

The Project host made the surprise announcement on Thursday in an adorable Instagram post.

In the video, the popular TV and radio personality is surrounded by her family. She then breaks the news to her daughter, Evie.

"There's a baby in mummy's tummy," she says. "There's a baby in there growing now."

The excited 3-year-old then asks if Bickmore is having a girl or boy. When the Channel Ten host says she doesn't know, Evie asks if it's twins.

The Gold Logie winner's newest family member will be her second child to partner Chris Walker. She gave birth to her firstborn, Oliver, in 2007 with late husband Greg Lange.

Lange tragically passed away in 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer. Since then, the TV star has overseen an annual fundraising event for her charity Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer. Over the past three years she has helped raise more than $10 million to fight the disease.

Bickmore currently anchors The Project on Network Ten and also co-hosts a Hit Network drive show with comedian Tommy Little.
