The seminal early 2000s punk band The Distillers have teased their return to the music industry in 2018.

Front woman Brody Dalle has shared a teaser video on her Instagram page which features a 30-second music clip and captioned with the words ‘THE DISTILLERS 2018′.

Her Facebook page’s cover picture has also been changed to The Distillers’ logo.

The band were at the forefront of the California punk scene at the turn of the century, forming in 10998 and releasing their acclaimed titular album in 2000.

They followed it up with 2002’s Sing Sing Death House, and 2003’s Coral Fang.

The band split in 2006 after original members Kim Chi, Matt Young and Rose Mazzola had all departed; it is not yet known if the new music will feature the original members, nor if fans can expect a full album or even a tour.

Dalle released her debut solo album Diploid Love in 2014, which featured Garbage’s Shirley Manson, Emily Kokal of Warpaint, and The Strokes’ Nick Valensi.

She has taken a break from music in recent years after welcoming her third child with husband, Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, but in 2017 teased fans with Instagram pictures of her back in the studio.
