The Eurovision Song Contest may be the home of glitter, flags and wigs from the fancy dress shop, but outside the outrageous dress code, things are pretty strict.
The Expo Tel Aviv, which is hosting the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel, is running a pretty tight ship, instating a list of restricted items akin to an airport.
And while they all make sense for the safety of attendees and performers, some of the items included were rather surprising.
For example – firearms, drugs and lasers being banned? The usual. Ladders, golfballs, mugs and scalpels being banned – did they really have to be mentioned?

Tools like: hammers, screwdrivers, adhesive tape, demolition bars, saw blades, drill bits, pliers, extension cords and tool pouch
All liquids transported must be stored in containers of less than 100ml
Tel Aviv have got their first big challenge out of the way, having hosted the first semi-final on Tuesday night, and the second semi will take place tonight.

Armenia, Ireland, Moldova, Switzerland, Latvia, Romania, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Croatia, Malta, Lithuania, Russia, Albania, Norway, The Netherlands, North Macedonia and Azerbaijan all hoping to make it through, to join Cyprus, Czech Republic, Belarus, Australia, Iceland, Serbia, Estonia, Greece, San Marino, Slovenia and previously qualified France, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany and Israel in the Saturday night final.
And as well as the 26 finalists, Eurovision viewers will also be treated to an interval performance from Madonna, who is rehearsing in Tel Aviv after landing late on Tuesday night.
