Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt is looking ‘healthier and happier’ following his split from Angelina Jolie and is ‘excited about life.’
The 54-year-old actor went to a ‘dark place’ when the Maleficent star filed for divorce in September 2016, just two years after they married after a decade of being together.
But he is said to have been living his best life and working hard on himself.
A source told People magazine: ‘Brad seems to be in a better place.
‘The separation was very dark for him, but lately he looks healthier and happier. He seems excited about life.’
Pitt and Jolie are still negotiating over the terms of their divorce and custody of their six kids – Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and twins Vivienne and Knox, nine.
Last year, the actor spoke candidly with GQ in an interview about his depression and how his children help him get through it.
‘I’m not suicidal or something,’ he said.
‘There’s still much beauty in the world and a lot of love. And a lot of love to be given. It’s all right. It’s just life … Kids are everything. Kids are your life.
‘They’re taking all the focus, as they should anyway.’
Pitt is also revving up his acting career: He signed on alongside Leonardo DiCaprio for Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming (and controversial) film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, about the 1969 Manson Family murders.
In the same interview, the Fury actor admitted his drinking had become a ‘problem’ during his marriage, but he was ‘really happy’ to have got sober.

He said: ‘I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff, or something. Something. And you realise that a lot of it is, um –cigarettes, you know, pacifiers. And I’m running from feelings.
‘I’m really, really happy to be done with all of that. I mean I stopped everything except boozing when I started my family. But even this last year, you know — things I wasn’t dealing with.
‘I was boozing too much. It’s just become a problem.’
It’s good to see Brad living his best life!
