Geri Horner has apologised for quitting the Spice Girls as the group took to the stage for the final night of their long-awaited reunion tour.

'I need to say something I should have said a long time ago," she said to the 70,000 fans in London's Wembley Stadium.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left. I was just being a brat. It is so good to be back with the girls that I love."

Horner left the group in 1998 – just two years before the group split.

Sporty, Ginger, Baby Scary Spice and Ginger Spice performed their hits including Wannabe, their 1996 debut single, and Spice Up Your Life.

The band ended their run by bringing their children and mothers on stage with them, with Geri, best known as Ginger Spice, joking that they are the three generations of Spice Girls.

The group performed their hits including Wannabe, their 1996 debut single, and Spice Up Your Life in front of 70,000 people in the stadium.

Sporty, Ginger, Baby and Scary Spice ended their run by bringing their children and mothers on stage with them, with Geri Horner, best known as Ginger Spice, joking that they are the three generations of Spice Girls.

There was also an impromptu rendition of Adele's Someone Like You, after the band revealed that the Grammy award-winning singer was somewhere in the crowd.

Adele's last Wembley show in 2017 was cancelled on doctors' advice after she damaged her vocal cords.

Both Horner and Emma Bunton, or Baby Spice, shared photos on Instagram with the singer before the sell-out show.

After the show, Horner shared an emotional message on her Instagram page, where she thanked the cast and crew of the tour.

She said: "So we're done. It's done.

"Thirteen stadiums, almost 700,000 people with three amazing women I've shared that stage with.
