Fallout 76s launch is going from bad to worse (Picture: Bethesda)

Bethesda has apologised after their website leaked personal information of Fallout 76 customers through their online ticketing system.

Fallout 76 seems to have become a bad omen over the developer since its launch last month – resulting in scathing reviews and apologies over falsely advertised bags which were sent out with the Power Armor Edition.

Bethesdas website has now caused problems for the developer, after customers claimed they could see other customers personal data when requesting support through their online help system.

The information leaked reportedly included names, email addresses and other contact details.

The company has since issued a statement on the matter, saying they took down the website and are investigating the incident.

We experienced an error with our customer support website that allowed some customers to view support tickets submitted by a limited number of other customers during a brief exposure window, Bethesda wrote. Upon discovery we immediately took down the site.

We are still investigating this incident and will provide additional updates as we learn more. During the incident, it appears that the user name, name, contact information, and proof of purchase information provided by a limited number of customers on their support ticket requests may have been viewable by other customers accessing the customer support website for a limited time, but no full credit card numbers or passwords were disclosed.

We plan to notify customers who may have been impacted. Bethesda takes the privacy of our customers seriously, and we sincerely apologise for this situation.
