It means the game has been unavailable since around 9am GMT today but once the game is back online players will be able to explore all of the new features.

When will the Fortnite servers be back up?

Epic Games hasnt given an estimate of when we can expect the servers to be live again.

Based on past updates it is likely to take somewhere between one and three hours.

This can vary though depending on the size of the update and if the team encounter any complications, but this has become rare during the more recent season updates.

We estimate that the Fortnite servers will likely become available again at around 11am.

What to expect in season 7

As usual Epic Games are staying pretty quiet about what players could see in the season 7 update.

They have started to release teaser images on their social media accounts as the countdown gets underway.

So far there have been two teasers and they suggest a cold, winter theme is on the way, which is something that many fans of the game expected.

The pictures also have hints and skiing and zip-lining becoming available as new items in the game which would give players more options when it comes to moving around the map.

The winter theme makes the likelihood of snow highly likely, especially as many players have already started to spot it appearing around the map.

A new Minecraft-style creative mode is also set to launch some time in the next week or so with an official announcement expected to be made at The Game Awards.

YouTuber Lachlan accidentally revealed the new mode on one of his new videos which he later removed from his channel.

It looks like it will be an expanded version of the Playground mode that was launched earlier this year.

Player will be able to build their own levels and create mini games, as well as set their own gameplay rules.

While there is no guarantee that crative mode will be part of the season 7 launch, it seems likely that they will both be made available to players at around the same time.
