The new professional eSports competition Overweatch League was launched by Blizzard this week, with the action already getting underway.
It is made up of 12 permanent teams who are divided into Pacific Division and Atlantic division and the comprise of teams from America, South Korea, China and UK.
The first season got officially underway today and it is set to run until June, with a combined prize of $3.5m available during the first season.
The season will be divided into four stages, with wins and losses counting towards a teams’ record across the full season, with the top performers at the end of Stage 4 facing off in the championship playoffs.

How to watch Overwatch League
The competition will run across a six week period and you can watch all of the action directly on the Overwatch league website.
It will also be available to watch on Twitch and MLG.com, as well as directly on the MLG app.
Fans can also keep up with the latest news and action by using the new Overwatch league app.
People watching in the UK will need to prepare for some late nights if you want to watch all of the action live, as many of the games will take place in the early hours of the morning.
