Where is Xur? UPDATE 1
Xur has returned in Destiny 2 and can be found on the planet of Io as a marked vendor on the map near Giant's Scar, selling the following stock, which can also be seen in the gallery below, with stats.
Xur Stock August 17 – August 21:
• Sunshot – Energy Weapon Hand Cannon – 29 Legendary Shards
• Orpheus Rig – Hunter Leg Armor – 23 Legendary Shards
• Lion Rampant – Titan Leg Armor – 23 Legendary Shards
• Karnstein Armlets – Warlock Gauntlets – 23 Legendary Shards
Once again, Xur is also selling Three of Coins (31 Legendary Shards), Fated Engram (97 Legendary Shards) and the Five of Swords.

Original Story – Where is Xur today? That's the question all Destiny 2 Guardians will be asking today, even if they might have one eye on the future with the release of The Forsaken in just a couple of weeks.
You might think that with Forsaken launching pretty soon there wouldn't be much more left to reveal, but on the most recent This Week At Bungie blog post there's still plenty more info for guardians to dig their teeth into.
But for now, we'll turn our attention back to Xur and hope that the Agent of the Nine returns with some amazing new exotic stock to spend our Legendary Shards on between August 17th – August 21st.
If you're looking for the mysterious tentacle-faced merchant this week, you won't find him just yet, so don't bother checking the Destiny Reddit page for info.
Equally, following the changes to the game some months back it now means that the Agent of Nine will now arrive at 10am PST, 1pm EST, 6pm UK, 7pm CET.
When he does randomly appear, it'll be somewhere, in one of the four public spaces of Titan, Io, Nessus and the European Dead Zone.
Some months back, Bungie ruled out the possibility of Xur appearing in the Patrol Zone of Mercury. So instead he appears in The Tower when the flashpoint is on Mercury. Likewise, when the Flashpoint is on Mars.

What was Xur selling last week? August 10 – August 14
Last week Xur was selling the following stock, which Guardians could buy using their Legendary Shards:
• Prometheus Lens – Energy Weapon Trace Rifle – 29 Legendary Shards
• Celestial Nighthawk – Hunter Helmet – 23 Legendary Shards
• Doom Fang Pauldron – Titan Gauntlets – 23 Legendary Shards
• Wings of Sacred Dawn – Warlock Chest Armor – 23 Legendary Shards
As with every week, it's worth noting that Xur is also selling Three of Coins (31 Legendary Shards), Fated Engram (97 Legendary Shards) and Five of Swords.
Xur Changes since Update 1.1.1.1
Xur has some new items to sell each week which were introduced with the games 1.1.1.1 update:
• Every week, youll be able to acquire one of the new Fated Engrams using Legendary Shards that will decrypt as Exotics that arent already in your collection
• A simpler Three of Coins that boosts Exotic drop rates from any source for 4 hours
• No obscure stacking mechanics or need to re-apply before every boss
• These cost Legendary Shards and you can have as many as you like

HOW TO ACQUIRE LEGENDARY SHARDS IN DESTINY 2?
Legendary Shards have replaced the Strange Coins as Xur's currency of choice, but should you still be finding your feet within the game, then below you'll find a list of every which way you can obtain Legendary Shards in the game:
• Dismantling Legendary weapons and armour (x 2)
• Dismantling Exotic weapons and armour (x 10)
• Strike bosses (rare)
• Weekly Nightfalls
• Flashpoints
• Planetary chests (rare)
• Lost Sector chests
• Raid chests
• Raid encounters
If you haven't acquired enough Legendary Shards just yet to buy Xur's stock, then make sure to farm them quick because Xur and his exotic stock won't be around for long.
You'll want to make sure you acquire enough Legendary Shards before the mysterious vendor skips town, which now takes place every Tuesday at 6PM along with the games Weekly Reset.
