Activision has offered a first look at Modern Warfares 2v2 Gunfight mode, but youll have to wait nearly a month for more.
Games preview: The Dark Pictures: Man Of Medan may be the best multiplayer game of 2019
As you will have noticed, the reveal for this years Call Of Duty is going extremely slowly. Very little has been seen in public so far, and barely any more behind closed doors, to the point where the footage below is the first time weve got a good look at the multiplayer.
The new Gunfight mode is based on multi-round cage matches, with the first to win six rounds being the winner. Everyone gets the same loadout, which is switched automatically every two rounds – when the teams also swap to start at the opposite end of the map.
There are also some overtime rules where if a round lasts more than 40 seconds a flag spawns and youve got 10 seconds to capture it. So theres a lot going on, but it looks pretty fun.

You can see three different maps in the footage: King (a warehouse interior), Pine (a forest), and Stack (some kind of container storage in a desert).
Gunfight is only one mode amongst many though and it doesnt seem like were going to see any others until 1 August.
At that point therell be a Twitch livestream which will demonstrate how progression works across all modes, which hopefully means a first look at co-op as well.
