Theme Hospital creators announce Two Point Hospital
Two Point Hospital – we bet Jeremy Hunt has already pre-ordered a copy

Bullfrog’s classic Theme Hospital is getting a spiritual sequel, as Sega announce a new game made by many of the original developers.

Tiny MetalGame review: Tiny Metal is the next best thing to Advance Wars

A comedy business simulator where you get to run your own hospital is not your typical set-up for a video game, but 1997’s Theme Hospital was one of the last great games to be created by Peter Molyneux’s original studio Bullfrog.

Two Point Hospital is the first game by Two Point Studios, who are based in Farnham, Surrey and include people that have worked on not just Theme Hospital, but also Theme Park, Black & White, and Fable.

The trailer below doesn’t reveal too much, but the Aardman Animations style visuals are cute and it clearly has the same sort of sense of humour as the original.

There have been other hospital sims over the years but most of them have taken the concept more seriously, with proper illnesses instead of joke ones. They’ve also never been very good.

‘Gary and I have been talking about this project for a number of years and are really excited to be announcing Two Point Studios’ first game,’ says Two Point co-founder Mark Webley.

‘The amazing team we have managed to bring together, and our partnership with Sega, has really allowed this first part of our vision to finally come to fruition’, says fellow co-founder Gary Carr – who also used to work at Mucky Foot, creators of Urban Chaos and Startopia.

Two Point Hospital will be out later this year on PC, and you can sign up for more news, and a free in-game item, at the official website.
