The Division 2 Update, Patch Notes, Maintenance TODAY: Servers down on PS4, Xbox (Pic: UBISOFT)

The Division 2 launched a little over two weeks back and its safe to say, it's been quite a success with fans old and new happy with the state of the game and the upcoming year of free content.

But for this morning at least, Ubisoft will once again need to take the game down for a couple of hours whilst the developers implement some server maintenance to roll out a few game-changing bug fixes.

Scheduled maintenance is indeed a massive pain. BUT – it's important and refreshing to see Ubisoft keeping on top of these issues as soon as they develop.

They're doing it on an almost weekly basis, which is great, as opposed to letting issues fester like certain other releases of late.

The news was announced late last night on the games official Twitter account, with @TheDivisionGame telling fans:

"Heads up, Agents! Maintenance incoming tomorrow, March 28th at 09:30 AM CET / 04:30 AM ET / 01:30 AM PT, approximately 3 hours."

For those of you in the UK that's 8.30 GMT. It also means the game should start to come back online close to midday at 11.30pm GMT.

During this time you may notice you'll receive a 'Mike-01' error message when attempting to play the game.

A 'MIKE' error message is related to the game not being able to access your profile. Because the game is offline, it obviously will be unable to access you profile.

It's also worth noting that last weeks planned maintenace, also billed as taking three hours, only took 1 solitary hour. So who knows, maybe they'll be speedy again today if you cross your fingers.

The Division 2 – Patch Notes, March 28th, 2019

Further information on Ubisoft's official forum has previously detailed some of the fixes they would be implementing with today's maintenance and latest game update.

However, on this occaision, the forum didn't have any patch notes. Normally it's quite short, so whether this lack of patch notes is indicative of some more substancil changes, we dont know, but it would seem that way.

What the Community Manager, Ubi-Johan, has said, is that during this maintenance, they will deploy a patch and that patch notes will be made available during the maintenance.

Stay tuned for further details.

PSA – TIDEL BASIN UPDATE

For those who missing it, Ubisoft also announced last night when they'll be rolling out the games next big content update, including World Tier 5 and a new Black Tusk stronghold.

Ubisoft had this to say:

"On April 5, all you World Tier 4 Agents rocking a 450 gear score will have brand new challenges ahead of you, when the Tidal Basin update hits The Division 2 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

"Tidal Basin will allow players to earn powerful new gear by advancing to World Tier 5, and will reveal a new stronghold held by the dangerous Black Tusk faction.

"Tidal Basin is just the first entry in The Division 2's robust post-launch plan, which will deliver free content for all players in the coming months.
