The Division 2 Raid Release Date Delayed: State of the Game update confirms May launch (Pic: Ubisoft)
During todays State of the Game broadcast, Ubisoft announced that its third major title update has been pushed back from its original release date of April 25th into next month.
Although fans have been responding positively to the outlined changes, this does mean that the eagerly anticipated 8-player raid has also been pushed back with no confirmed launch date.
The title update promises an entire shopping list of changes that not only touch on The Division 2s Dark Zone, but also PvP, weapons normalization, and general quality of life improvements.
There will be a particular focus on the games arsenal of exotic weapons. As the name suggests, these are hard to come by and require a lot of time and effort to unlock, so Agents will happy to hear that these are getting a nice little boost.
However, Terry Spier – creative director at co-developer Red Storm, stresses that the team isnt looking to give these rare guns a simple stat increase. Instead of turning up the DPS dial, exotics are being designed to enable certain tactics and advanced playstyles, both in PvE and PvP combat scenarios.
Needless to say, weapon balancing is an ongoing effort for the studios working on The Division 2. This future update proposes a large number of nerfs and buffs to the games varied gun list that will also see various changes to their attached talents.
Fans have been asking for some of the weaker and less popular weapons to get a shot in the arm though Spiers wants to make sure that Red Storm is taking a sensible approach instead of supercharging every weapon, filtering in sensible tweaks across the board.

To remedy this, the developers are looking to make sure that instances start to hit a target number of 12 players, which they believe is the perfect middle ground. As a result, players shouldnt feel too isolated or caught in a chaotic frenzy.
Ubisoft is also skewing the Dark Zone loot ratio to favour more contaminated loot drops.
Unlike regular loot, these items need to be extracted via helicopter – a process that alerts nearby players in the same instance, giving them the opportunity to swoop in and steal your precious gear.
As a result, the number of contaminated items you'll be able to carry can now be increased.
Also, to encourage more players to step into the Dark Zone, this will be the only place where Agents can find armour and weapons with a Gear Score of 515, statistically making these items the Read More – Source
