Students at the University of California, Santa Cruz claimed that President Donald Trump does not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for what appears to be major progress with the North Korean regime. Those same students felt that former President Obama did deserve his Nobel, although none of them were able to remember why he got it.
Their answers were documented in a video published by Campus Reform on Saturday, which was featured on Saturday mornings “Fox & Friends.”

When asked whether Trump deserved to be considered for the honor, their answers were 50 shades of “no.”
- “Hell no, thats a joke. What has he done for peace?”
- “I feel like he just thinks that he deserves many awards and thats just stupid.”
- “Thats crap.”
- “I feel like its too good of a prize for him to have credit for.”
When asked about what Obama had done to earn the coveted prize, which he won just nine months into his presidency, they floundered. One asked whether it was because of his “push for education” or maybe “Obamacare” — in spite of the fact that the Affordable Care Act didnt make it through Congress until six months after Obama received his prize. Others admitted they had no idea why he had been given the prize.
According to the Nobel Prize organization, Obamas prize was awarded in part because of his promise to confront climate change head on, citing his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy” and his efforts to ensure that the United States was “playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting.”
