Red Dead Redemption 2 news: Rockstar update is GREAT NEWS for Xbox One and PS4 players (Pic: ROCKSTAR)
Red Dead Redemption is only a few weeks away from release, but Rockstar is keen to keep the hype train moving ahead of the game's launch on October 26.
This week, the developer conducted an interview with Vulture, in which it spoke at length about what players can expect from the game when it launches on Xbox One and PS4.
Dan Houser – studio founder at Rockstar North – revealed that players can expect the game to last 'around 60 hours'.
According to the developer, about 5 hours of content had been cut from the main game, too.

“We removed a mission on a train where you had to deal with bounty hunters, because it was fun at first, but then it wasnt," Houser told Vulture.
"This part of the process is always about compromise and horse trading. Everyone always loses bits of the game they love.”
Houser also noted that there was a love interest that main character Arthur Morgan could pursue that was cut because it didn't stand up to Rockstar's expectations.
Houser notes that missions that “were never going to work technically or be quite slick enough, or […] felt superfluous" were cut from the game, in the hopes of making it a more streamlined title.
According to Red Dead News on Twitter, the game will be half the size of some modern titles.
"LEAK: Red Dead Redemption 2 is apparently 50GB in size with a 3GB patch on a regular PlayStation 4" reads a tweet from the account.
So that's good news for people thinking they may have had to delete pretty much everything off their machine if they wanted to fit Red Dead onto their consoles.
This isn't the first leak we've seen from Red Dead Redemption 2 in recent days, either – earlier in the week, we saw all the trophy data from the game leak, revealing that Rockstar is really pushing players to explore the online side of the title (which, of course, doesn't go live until a month or so after the game has launched).
