It's a big weekend for one of PlayStation's big PS4 exclusives, as another Gran Turismo Spot Championship event takes place.
The racing sim has been easily one of the best exclusives of the PS4 era, selling upwards of 8 million and providing a steady release of new content ever since release.
From new cars, tracks and modes, it's never been a better time to be a Gran Turismo fan.
But this weekend, it's going to get a little bit better, because we should see some new features unveiled too.
The games next World Tour event is happening at the Nurburgring this weekend. A year after the very first FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships event took place; but also alongside the circuits own infamous 24-hour endurance race.
A big weekend of racing indeed.
But away from the track GT Sport fans are excited about the potential for rain; specifically as part of a new feature coming to the game.
GT Planet, a top resource for all things racing but specifically Gran Turismo first broke the news and in their coverage of the event writes:
"It looks like GT Sport players will have one more reason to tune into this weekends Nürburgring FIA World Tour event. A recent leak has seemingly confirmed the addition of new wet weather conditions within the game."
"Rain is a bit of a rarity in GT Sport. The franchise popularized dynamic time and weather last generation. Now, while most of the genre includes it in some form, Sport has just one damp track: the infield at Northern Isle, used in a handful of Driving School tests."
Sure enough, as soon as fans made their way to the event earlier this week, the info was more or less confirmed by some off-screen footage (seen above).
