PS Plus Free Game updates are great news for PS4 owners looking to sale a bundle (Pic: SONY)

PS4 owners with an active PS Plus subscription can grab themselves a few nice bonuses this week if they can give themselves 5 minutes to pick them up from the Sony PlayStation store.

Big thanks to Hotukdeals for helping bring some of these deals to our attention. First up, you can grab a playable demo for the new PlayStation 4 anime brawler, Kill la Kill – IF.

Here's a bit more info about the game:

From the makers of Dragonball FighterZ and writer of the anime, Kazuki Nakashima, comes “Kill la Kill The Game: IF”! Perform devastating combos, destroy your opponents, and relive the anime with your favourite scenes from the original series, revived with stunning visuals and cinematics! Discover a brand new story through the eyes of Satsuki as she becomes the protagonist for the very first time!

Although this demo only includes the first chapter of the games story mode, it still weighs in at a beefy 7.2GB.

The full game is out on PS4 later this month, and don't worry about it coming from the west, because when it releases it'll be subtitled in English and French, with more to come.

If however, you're not keen on a full-blown anime brawler, you could instead try a brand new PlayLink game from PlayStation.

Melbits World is a new cooperative puzzle-platformer game for 2-4 players. Here's a bit more info from the games PSN store description:

“The cooperative puzzle-platformer game that will equally charm and challenge your friends and family, communication and coordination is the key to success in the Melbits mission,” the official game description reads.

“Discover these collectable digital creatures on the Melbits World demo and guide them through fiendish levels full of traps, all while they dodge evil viruses, gather seeds and spread good vibes across the Internet.”

Naturally being a Sony PlayLink title it's also integral that you use a tablet or smartphone to play the game. Which means you'll also need to download the companion app from either the Apple store or Google Play Store.

The game itself hasn't got a whole lot of reviews, but there's one we trust, and that's from Pushsquare, who upon reviewing said this:

"Melbits World is a nice attempt at creating a fun, simple puzzle game suited to PlayLink's smartphone functionality. Its visual style is very easy on the eye, while the basic, communication-based gameplay means it's bound to be a good family game. The PlayLink initiative may not have been as popular as Sony may have hoped, but Melbot Studios' title shows that there's plenty left to explore when it comes to smartphone controlled gaming."

Like most of the PlayLink titles, it sounds decent enough, if not spectacular. At the end of the day, free is free.

Finally, if you bought the Resident Evil 2 Remake earlier this year, have we got the PS Plus bonus for you.

Click the link below and you'll be whisked not just to the PlayStation Store, but also 1998.

That's because you can grab two free costumes for the game, which transform both characters, Claire Redfield and Leon Kenedy into pixelated '98 era character models.

How's that for some PS1 Resi nostalgia.

Granted, the PSN Store notes that this freebie was released back in February with the release of the game, but it's the first we're seeing of it, and thanks to * squints* HotUKDeals user GameScoop, we can now add it to our download queue.

Obviously, it goes without saying – but we're going to remind you anyway – you can grab two free PS Plus games which released last week.

First up is Detroit Become Human (which includes Heavy Rain) as well as Horizon Chase Turbo. Which many people have snubbed, but all reports seem to suggest to us it's a bit of a hidden gem well worth picking up.

If you want to know more about either game, keep reading. Otherwise, stop readinRead More – Source
