The Blizzcon 2018 Opening Ceremony is scheduled for today, and according to prolific developer Blizzard, the show will be available to watch live on the official Blizzcon site and Blizzcon mobile App.

The event is also usually available to watch on Blizzards Twitch channel, although the rest of the panels will require a Virtual Ticket.

You can see the video embedded below if you want to catch all the action live.

Blizzcon 2018 will begin after the opening ceremony and will continue until Saturday, November 4. The opening ceremony starts at 11am PDT, and if previous years are anything to go by we can expect it to last about an hour.

That means you can tune in to watch the Blizzcon 2018 opening ceremony from 7pm GMT.

Overwatch hero 29 reveal incoming?

So what's going to be shown at the opening ceremony?

Well, Blizzard typically uses the momentum at the start of the show to make new announcements about new games, or new additions to existing games.

So, in 2018, what does that mean?

We seem to get heroes revealed at regular intervals by Blizzard, and the common consensus seems to be that we'll get a new hero reveal at Blizzcon 2018. Why is that? Well…

At Blizzcon 2016, we saw Blizzard introduce Sombra. Then, at Blizzcon 2017, we saw the company reveal Moira. Two for two, right? After all, in the biggest celebration of Blizzard's all year, why wouldn't the company show off a new character?

Blizzcon 2018 – What else to expect?

There's a lot going on at Blizzcon this year – and you can read all about it over on our parent Blizzcon 2018 page.

We're expecting updates on the future of Diablo, more Overwatch skins/animations, and huge updates on the much-anticipated World of Warcraft Classic.

You'll need a Virtual Ticket to access World of Warcraft Classic, as well as the panels taking place across the weekend, so make you pick one up if you want to get all you can out of this weekend.

“BlizzCon is our favorite time of the year at Blizzard,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment.

“Its our chance to meet and really get to know the people behind the terran commanders, demon hunters, and Tracer mains we play with every day—to share our passion for games and esports with each other, and celebrate what being in the Blizzard community is all about. We cant wait to see everyone at the show.”

Gamers around the globe who arent able to attend in person will have the chance to enjoy BlizzCon from just about anywhere via the Virtual Ticket, which offers live streaming coverage of the event and a variety of bonus content, including this years BlizzCon in-game items.

More details on the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket, including pricing, availability, and programming information, will be announced at a later date.
