Overwatch Hero 29 LEAK: New Hero character to be revealed at Blizzcon 2018 event? (Pic: BLIZZARD)
Overwatch hero rollouts are infamously unpredictable – sometimes (like in the case of Sombra) we'll see a protracted, drawn-out release with weeks of hints, teases and even alternate-reality games.
Other times – like with the release of Hero 28, Wrecking Ball – we'll see a surprise announce and release within a week. It's always hard to call it.
That said, it looks like we're about to embark on a new journey to Hero 29 – with a potential reveal at BlizzCon 2018 this weekend.
Some theories suspect that Hero 29 will be the Queen of Junkertown – a hero designed to complement the likes of current Junkertown mainstays Junkrat and Roadhog.

When is the next Overwatch hero coming?
We seem to get heros revealed at regular intervals by Blizzard, and the common consensus seems to be that we'll get a new hero reveal at Blizzcon 2018. Why is that? Well…
At Blizzcon 2016, we saw Blizzard introduce Sombra. Then, at Blizzcon 2017, we saw the company reveal Moira. Two for two, right? After all, in the biggest celebration of Blizzard's all year, why wouldn't the company show off a new character?
We're also seeing some teases over on the Route 66 map: the payload has changed.
Last time this happened, we saw the airport in Numbani get ripped apart by Doomfist – so could this new pod on Route 66 be a hint? It's likely.
We don't have long to wait, either: BlizzCon 2018 takes place this weekend. You can read more about that here.
Who is the Queen of Junkertown?
We haven't actually met the hero yet, but we do know bits about her in the in-game lore thanks to her narration of the Junkertown trailer (see below).
Here's what she says during the trailer:
Listen up, you wretched scum! I see your struggles. Trying to survive in the wasteland. Its time to face the facts: The end of the worlds come and gone. Your past lives are a dream. Its time you woke up. They thought they could take our land and give to the machines? They were wrong! We won the war! And now we reap the spoils. We built a new world from the ashes. So step into the scrapyard! No rules, no mercy, only the strong survive! This is your Queen. Welcome to the apocalypse. Welcome to Junkertown.
We also saw a poster of the Queen in Junkertown – an image of which you can see colourised in our header image, courtesy of AlyxandriaTheDober on Reddit.
She seems to have a big weapon, and carries a rock/punk aesthetic in line with the other denizens of Junkertown. She also shows up in the Wrecking Ball intro video at 0.55 seconds.
Here, she's crowning Wrecking Ball as champion of the scrapyard… could that mean we'll see her introduced as a close personal friend of the hamster? It's plausible.
