OJ Simpson has shared his thoughts on the Bill Cosby case, after the actor was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison this week.
Commenting on the Cosby Show stars plight, as hes sent to a state prison in Pennsylvania to serve his time, after being convicted of three counts of aggravated indecent assault, OJ worried Bill would be a target in the slammer.
OJ himself spent nine years behind bars for kidnapping and armed robbery in Nevada.
The problem is the nature of the crime, he told TMZ. Rapists are frowned upon in prison.
Im sure there will be guys protecting him but theyre gonna have to put him in protective custody … because it takes one nut, ya know?
Speaking about his sentence, handed down by Judge Steven T. ONeill on Tuesday, he added: With his health and his age and the nature of the crime, theres not a warden in this country wants the responsibility of a Bill Cosby. I think they should let him do his time under house arrest.

Pennsylvania Department of Corrections said in a statement: Cosby is being housed in a single cell in a unit adjacent to the infirmary. He will be allowed phone calls and visitation in accordance with policy, as well as opportunity to exercise during the classification process.
We are taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure Mr. Cosbys safety and general welfare in our institution. The long-term goal is for him to be placed in the general population to receive the programming required during his incarceration.
During his sentencing, Cosby was also deemed a sexually violent predator in the hearing and will now be placed under lifetime registration with state police, lifetime sex offender counseling and a community notification will also be given.

During the sentencing hearing, which began on Monday in the US, Judge ONeill heard from both the defense and the prosecution, as well as testimony and victim impact statements from the women, who have accused Cosby.
The actor was accused by dozens of women for sexual misconduct, stemming from over the decades, however, Constands allegations are the only ones that have resulted in criminal charges.
