The main way that players progress through Monster Hunter World is by completing quests, which involves capturing monsters as well as finding various items.
Alongside the main quests there are plenty of optional tasks for players keen to get the most out of the game or just looking to earn more rewards.
One of the optional quests involves finding Super Abalone, which is an item that doesn’t feature in many other parts of the game.
It can be a tricky item to find but here is a brief guide on how you can get hold of them.
What is Super Abalone and how do you get it?
Super Abalone is a cooking ingredient that is requested by the Meowscular Chef in one of the optional quests in Monster Hunter World.
Most players hunt for the item so that they can complete the What A Bunch of Abalone quest, which requires 10 Super Abalone.

It is an optional quest that requires players to be HR 6 or higher and despite being called Super Abalone, players should instead be searching for an item called conch shells in order to complete the quest.
The item is mainly found in sector 5 and players should search for them near the Coral Highlands, the nodes should be grouped quite close together meaning you can get multiple at once.
The reward for completing the quest is 3600 coins plus a new ingredient.
