Fan Bingbing will make her big screen return in Jessica Chastains movie 355, following her tax evasion drama last year.

The Chinese actress left fans concerned she was missing, after she disappeared in June for several months before returning to Beijing in October last year.

Reports revealed Fan had been held in a secret detention centre while there was an investigation into her finances.

She was accused of dodging taxes by signing secret yin and yang contracts – which are side-by-side public and private agreements – in a bid to hide her real earnings.

Variety reports that new movie 355, headed up by Chastains Freckle Films, will star Bingbing alongside Jessica, Penelope Cruz, Lupita Nyongo and Marion Cotillard and starts shooting later this year.

355 is an all-female spy thriller and will be Fans first movie since she was forced to apologise for her involvement in tax evasion.

She previously denied any wrongdoing but later issued a public apology on her return to Beijing in October 2018.

Fan said in a statement shared on social media: Ive been suffering unprecedented pain recently… Im so ashamed of what Ive done. Here, I sincerely apologise to everyone.
