Minecraft is one of the decade’s biggest games, and whether you get it or not it’s still one of big pulls in gaming.
Fast-forward on from 2011 and the game has moved far beyond what creator Markus Persson envisaged. But we’re almost completely sure that the Swede – who sold his creation to Microsoft for a whopping £2.5billion – had no idea that it would become something of an erotic fantasy for many.
In fact, there are nearly 1000 hits on Pornhub relating to the game, with many featuring various lewd and sexual encounters between block people.
(Hint: If you’re already currently in tears after reading about one of your favourite childhood memories being hijacked by the one-handed bandit brigade then don’t read any more of this article.)
It’s not even like it’s a secret that some of your favourite video games have ended up being used to satiate the carnal lusts of some horny pixel lovers.
Releasing a breakdown of its year in review, Pornhub revealed that Blizzard’s award-winning and much-beloved online FPS, Overwatch, was one of the most searched terms on its site in 2017.
It’s been known for time that Lara Croft has been something of a pin-up for gamers – just accept it as a fact, and let’s not even visit the movie franchise – but it seems that the archaeologist and her hotpants have been toppled from their 20-year rein at the top by the video vixens from future Earth.
The top three most-searched for game characters on the site last year were D.Va, Mercy and Tracer. D.va was top of the list with over 3.9million searches.
Misty from the Pokemon franchise came in at fourth, with Lara trailing fifth.
And showing that nothing is sacred anymore, Pikachu even made the list – no, we’re not judging, it’s just… it’s Pikachu!
