Is this a subliminal message, or is this a subliminal message?
Just weeks (not even) after her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall got into one massive to-do, Cynthia Nixon has shown the world where her loyalties lie.
Or at least that she still gets on with SJP in the wake of Sex and the City wrapping.
For those who have NFI what we’re on about, here’s a refresher.
Sadly Kim Cattrall’s brother passed away earlier this month in Canada and Sarah had sent Kim a message that read: ‘Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx’
Kim then uploaded an image in response to SJP’s message, which read: ‘I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.’
She captioned the upload with: ‘My Mom asked me today “When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?” Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. ‘Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.’
However, Cynthia has made it clear she’s still on very good terms with her former co-star.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the woman who played cracking Miranda Hobbes posted a photo of her with SJP that said: ‘Old friends ran into each other at @tmagazine shoot today…miss you @sarahjessicaparker.’
Aw, doesn’t that warm the cockles.
While there may be no feud whatsoever between Kim and Cynthia – after all, Kim thanked Cynthia for her kind words following her brother’s passing – fans were obviously wondering what the post meant.
Again if it did mean anything.
One said: ‘Well it looks like you guyz are getting along!’
Another added: ‘Miranda and Carrie were always the real love story of SATC.’
More: Sarah Jessica Parker
And another rightly pointed out: ‘I can almost hear the gossip… lols’.
Yep.
Really, though, where is Charlotte in all of this?
