YouTube star Logan Paul is the latest star to speak out about a high school wrestler being forced to cut off his dreads in order to participate in a match.

The 25-year-old internet celebrity was also a stud wrestler himself back in high school and said he was never asked to cut his hair before a game, before letting rip on what he really thought of the situation.

When asked by TMZ on what he thought about the situation, the vlogger summed up his thoughts pretty well by simply saying: Thats fucked!

Black high school teen Alan Johnson made headlines after being forced to cut his dreadlocks off by white referee, Alan Moloney, after being told he would forfeit the match if he refused.

Many onlookers coined the incident racist, causing the New Jersey state athletic officials to put the ref under investigation whilst also banning him from working at any more matches in the process.

This isnt the first incident that the referee had been involved in, with Maloney having been previously disciplined for making a racist comment back in 2016.

Johnsons story went viral after video footage of the distraught teen getting his locs chopped off was posted by Sports Director, Mike Frankel who labelled the youngster the Epitome of a team player.

Despite coining the incident ridiculous and empathising with Johnson, Logan did also have a positive message for the young wrestler – dont let that one bad dude bring you down.

Logan wasnt the only celeb to speak out over the incident, with five-time world freestyling wrestler Jordan Burroughs also weighing in on the event.

Posting a thread, the sportsman exclaimed: Im sure a lot of you have heard about the young man who was forced to cut his hair during a wrestling match in order to avoid being disqualified. That young man is Andrew Johnson of Buena High School in New Jersey.

Let me start off by saying, I commend Andrew for stepping up, and being selfless, cutting his hair and getting the final takedown in over time to win his match and help his team secure the dual victory. Now, let me tell you how sickening this is.

Ive been wrestling for 25 years, at every level, and I have never once seen a person required to cut their hair during a match. This is nonsense. As a referee, you are required to check the hair and nails of all wrestlers BEFORE a match. My opinion is that this was a combination of an abuse of power, racism, and just plain negligence.
