The late-night hosts lashed out at President Donald Trump Monday while defending Michelle Wolfs “filthy” appearance at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
“So just know when you call her filthy, you are right,” “Late Night” host Seth Meyers told his audience. “She is filthy and she is mean, which is what we love about her because those are wonderful qualities for a comedian and terrible qualities for free world leaders.”
“If you ask me, Sarah Huckabee Sanders got off easy,” he added.
On Comedy Centrals “Daily Show,” host Trevor Noah said Wolf used to be a former correspondent on his show and mocked peoples outrage over her comments about Sarah Sanders, Kellyanne Conway and jokes about abortion.
“Michelle roasted these people so hard that they wanted police protection,” the host explained. “But its not funny because Michelle should have had the decency to not comment on womens appearances in any way, shape or form. Shes a comedian, for Gods sake, not the president.”

On CBSs “Late Show,” Stephen Colbert joked that people who were offended by Wolfs performance must have been in a “coma for the last 18 months,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“She did not pull any punches and some people were offended … presumably those people who have been in a coma for the last 18 months,” Colbert explained. “Look, you didnt like it, you have that right. Dont invite her back again, but grow a pair. This was a roast. … Being mad at her for doing her job is like being mad at the valet for briefly stealing your car.”
Earlier in the day, Wolf said she regrets nothing in response to the backlash from her performance at the dinner Saturday night.
“I wouldnt change a single word that I said,” the former “Daily Show” comedian told NPR. “Im very happy with what I said, and Im glad I stuck to my guns.”
At the dinner Saturday night, Wolf joked about Sanders truthfulness and her looks.
“She burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Maybe shes born with it, maybe its lies. Its probably lies,” the comedian said.
