The season 3 Battle Pass for Fortnite was launched this week, introducing plenty of new cosmetic items for players to unlock.
If you are looking to change your presence on the battlefield, then a new outfit for your character could be the perfect option.
The character skins are only cosmetic and don’t have any impact on gameplay but they are great designs and can show your opponents that you mean business.
Fortnite’s growing catalogue of outfit choices means that players now have a big variety of characters to choose from.
How to change your character in Fortnite
Currently, if you haven’t unlocked or bought a character outfit then you will not be able to change who your character is.
In the latest update Epic Games has also changed it so that players who do not have an outfit equipped will now have the same outfit both in-game and the lobby.
You can unlock new outfits either by buying them from the in-game store or you can buy the Battle Pass and unlock items by progressing through the tiers.
To equip an outfit you should go to the locker tab on the game lobby menu and then navigate to the outfits slot.
You can then select which outfit you want to equip (only the ones you have unlocked).
How much is the season 3 Battle Pass?
You can purchase the Fortnite Battle Pass within the game by navigating in Battle Royale and selecting the Battle Pass tab.
From there you will have the option to purchase the Battle Pass which will cost 950 V-Bucks which comes to around £7/$10.
Alternatively, you can buy the Battle Bundle, which includes the Battle Pass plus the first 25 tiers, which costs 2,800 v-bucks (around £17/$25).
Once you have bought the Battle Pass you will receive a number of rewards instantly and can then continue to unlock more by progressing through the reward tiers by playing the game.
If you want to unlock tiers within the Battle Pass without playing through it, you can unlock each tier individually for 150 v-bucks.
