Cast your mind back to 2004. We were on the third Harry Potter film. The term wardrobe malfunction was coined at the Super Bowl. Michelle McManus reached number one with All This Time.
And on the internet, a creepy noseless cartoon character with bizarrely long fingers was scaring the bejesus out of us all.
Yep, Salad Fingers haunted all of our dreams in the noughties – and now, hes back.
Animator David Firth has released a brand new Salad Fingers video to celebrate achieving one million subscribers on YouTube – and were not sure thats a good or bad thing.
The video sees Salad Fingers sitting at a table in the middle of a desolate wasteland, holding a spoon (rusty, no doubt) and showing off a cake studded with one lone candle and a number of severed fingers.
Yknow, the usual.

The character says: Hello. Today Id like to thank you for one million little tiny billiard people that I get to keep in my little billiard box.
Then comes the return of finger puppet Hubert Cumberdale, who Salad Fingers hasnt seen for 23 years.
The clip is less than a minute long, but will no doubt give you nightmare fuel for weeks.
More: Youtube
Salad Fingers was first uploaded to YouTube in 2004 by Firth, with ten episodes being released over the years – Spoons, Friends, Nettles, Cage, Picnic, Present, Brother, Cupboard, Letter and Birthday.
These episodes showed our horrifying hero getting pleasure from rusty spoons, accidentally trapping a child in an oven while trying to cook fish for his finger puppet pals, and rubbing his nipples with nettles.
The noughties were a weird time.
Firth has promised an 11th episode of Salad Fingers to fans, although its unclear if this celebration video is that.
