Been meaning to write in for a while to let you know just what a fantastic time Ive been having with Divinity: Original Sin II since I picked it up earlier in the summer. 100+ hours so far and even then I feel like I might have rushed the last section!? I believe Ive made it to the final area (Arx) but could well be wrong.

Initially the character selection/creation was a bit overwhelming but once I settled on a character and assembled my motley crew of adventurers I was off on my quest to become the Divine!

The menus can be a bit full-on but once you get the flow going it just keeps giving and giving. This game demonstrates how a good voice cast and script can really make it shine. The game is confidently set in its own world, the humour, the MacGuffins, the lore, and delivery of the cast (especially the narrator) all feel spot on. It must be so frustrating for a developer to spend years making a game only to have a half-arsed voice-acting cast phone it in.

So many quests, so many ways to approach those quests, minimal hand-holding, amazing soundtrack (overtaken the Zelda: Breath Of The Wild soundtrack as my go-to for studying), the combat, the seemingly endless tweaking of combat loadouts/equipment/weapons/magic skills, etc. I could go on and on about this game!

Thanks for the recommendation back in the day. I cant wait to finish it, and the restart it at some point, Ive already got my eye on the first once as I reckon that could be well worth a go too. As well as Divinity: Fallen Heroes that seems like more of a straight up XCOM style mission-based version. Any idea when that one is coming out?
