Cor Blimey
Have to say, with the exception of the forced aggressive cockney accents, I was satisfied with Watch Dogs Legion and the reveal trailer and how the capital was portrayed. Kind of interesting to note in a dystopian anarchy state clearly the tube lines and bus routes were still functioning. I liked the look of what was seen of Westminster and bits of Camden.
It did lead me to think how the size of the city will be managed, of what was seen if you use public transport to zip around to different boroughs will negate that somewhat, kind of similar to what Dragon Age Inquisition did allowing the exploration of different areas from a centralised hub. Of course could be completely wrong and they are going with their normal huge open world plan.
Ill pick it up, have explored historical and present day London so excited for the future no matter how bleak it seems. Although with the level of swearing, rubbish weather and gangs patrolling unchecked kind of seems like typical rush hour really.

SC: We believe Watch Dogs 2 condensed the city of San Francisco so all the landmarks were wedged closer together, so we imagine a similar situation might happen with London. Although were hoping for a chance to run wild with a spider drone in Peckham Wetherspoons.
We have a winner
Thank the E3 lords for Nintendo. I was ready to write off this years showing as a disappointment (with a few exceptions in Watch Dogs Legion, Doom Eternal, and Keanu Reeves) but their presentation was one of their best in years.
All the things we expected looked great (Animal Crossing, Luigis Mansion, Smash Bros characters), and they threw some cool surprises on top too with Breath Of The Wild 2, No More Heroes 3 and The Witcher 3 port.
I also appreciated the humour, something the likes of Microsoft and Bethesda could certainly learn from when it comes to charm. It helps its pre-recorded, of course, but Nintendo are proving its far more beneficial to have a broadcast over a stage show. Bravo!

SC: Maybe weve misunderstood Bowser all along. Bring on the reign of King Koopa!
Games Pass convert
My word, that upgrade offer to move to Games Pass ultimate is ridiculously generous.
It just saved me about £250 based on the monthly cost (£180 in reality as I would use the 6 month prepaid codes rather than pay monthly), but I guess Microsoft have just bought me as a customer for the next gen.
I dont feel the need to upgrade anytime soon and it certainly means the PS5 would have to be doing something special for me to even consider getting it anytime soon.

Witch Time
The Blair Witch survival horror game felt random to me at first, but the more I think about it, the more its simply the next step in the wave of classic horror movies getting a second wind in video games, like Friday the 13th and Alien.
Its made me think what other old horror films Id like to see turned into a game. Im still surprised Nightmare On Elm Street hasnt received some sort of game spin, especially based off the third film Dream Warriors with a co-op aspect against a dream manipulator of sorts.
Even Exorcism films come be brought to life in some VR experience these days, even if it might be a little too twisted for some. Ill take Blair Witch though, even if it does look exactly like Outlast.

SC: A VR Exorcism experience sounds genuinely quite brilliant/horrifying. Well secretly hope and pray no game developers are listening.
Haters assemble
Am I the only one who is on board with the Marvels Avengers game? I understand people being slightly put out by not having the movie cast voices in there, but it makes sense if theyre going to build an entirely new Marvel gaming universe.
Im holding some judgement back until we see proper gameplay, but Im excited by the prospect of this carving out a story in step with the comics – or doing something entirely new we havent seen before. There was a Tony Stark before Robert Downey Jr, people. Get over it.
PS. If they dont make a playable Rocket Raccoon. I take all this back.
