Fortnite update 9.30 Patch Notes Preview: Drum Shotgun, Downtime news, Map Changes (Pic: EPIC GAMES)

Fortnite fans are counting down the hours until the games next big update which should be coming in the next 24 hours, likely tomorrow on July 2, 2019.

It looks like the update coming tomorrow will be a smaller 'content update' so it's unlikely we'll see any downtime required, which might also explain why Epic Games Fortnite Twitter account hasn't posted any info yet.

Simply because, they might not need to alert fans to the update if it's unlikely to cause any issues to all players.

As a reminder, the update would impact all game modes – Battle Royale, Creative and Save the World – and all platforms the game is on, including PS4, Xbox, Switch, PC and Mobile.

For those who like to keep track, it's likely the official patch notes will be v9.30 or v9.31. Either way, the patch notes will likely arrive at the same time as the update drops.

That said, it's known that the Drum Shotgun will be available in uncommon, common and rare rarities.

Players should see an all-new weapon added to the game with the new update when it arrives (hopefully) tomorrow.

Map Changes

Although we can't say anything clear cut about map changes, you'll be mad to think there won't be any map changes to the game. We're gearing up for the games next big event and although it might be smaller, we can still expect a few changes.

A rogue house crushed here, some tweaks to a location there. There will be something, and who knows, maybe it'll offer some clues as to where we might be headed as we approach the next big in-game event.

BUG FIXES

There's a variety of issues that still need fixing and according to the games Trello board, some are fixed and likely to be deployed in a future release. Annoyingly some are problems which were lisRead More – Source
