Last summer Faryal Makhdooms marriage to her boxer husband Amir Khan hit the rocks following claims of infidelity – but what a difference a year makes.
The 27-year-old make-up guru shared a snap from her recent photo shoot with her other half, proving that they emerged from the scandal stronger than ever.
In the picture posted to her Instagram, Faryal puts on a show of strength and solidarity as she poses in front of Amir in black ensemble with her wavy hair tumbling on her shoulders.
The mother-of-two captioned the image with a quote that read: Woman was made from the rib of a man. Not from his head to top him nor his foot to be stepped on by him, but for his side to be equal to him, under his arm to be protected by him.
The defiant message about her significance as his wife prompted a strong response from scores of her 861,000 followers, with one writing: True so true Im happy you guys are still together blessings to you both and the babies.

Another said: So glad to see these images of togetherness. The way it should be.
A third added: Yes that is true and may Allaha protect your little family from evil eyes and mine.
However some fans couldnt resist the opportunity to remind her that she was an asset to her former husband, following claims that he has been unfaithful on multiple occasions.
One follower simply wrote: She deserves a real gentlemen sorry just a #fact.
Another commented: I hope your husband understands that too.
Faryal and Amirs marriage became tabloid fodder last August when they were embroiled in a bitter public row over his claims that she had enjoyed a secret rendezvous with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua. Amir later admitted he had got his wires crossed.

To make matters worse, she had an ugly spat with his family who she claimed had bullied her for years, disapproved of the way she dressed and blamed her for creating a rift between them and the boxer.
Their marriage woes worsened when a string of women later accused Amir of cheating. The latest allegations came in May this year when Sophie Hammani, 22, alleged she had slept with the champion boxer only 17 days after Faryal gave birth to their second daughter Alayna.

Sophie told The Sun: Hes disgusting. He slept with me and his wife had just given birth. I nearly threw up when I saw they were still together. I felt so used.
He slammed the rumors as nonsense.
American-born Pakistani Faryal previously said that they were able to salvage their tumultuous marriage because their love is real.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a snap of the pair side by side and posing with the gushing message: If its real theyll find you no matter how far you go.
