Emily Andre reveals that she is comfortable with being naked around her kids, and doesn’t hide her body from them.
A lot of conversations have been thrown around recently on whether or not it’s normal for your kids to see you naked.
Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Ben Fogle’s wife Marina have opened up about their ‘nude households’ and how they find it normal.
Emily shares two children with Peter Andre, daughter Amelia, four, and son Theo, 2, and has now had her say on the debate.
The 28-year-old told OK magazine: ‘I don’t parade around in front of the kids, but if they happen to be there and I’m in the shower, I don’t cover up in front of them because I don’t think kids should have a perception of feeling self-conscious about their body.
‘I think if you show that you’re trying to hide your body from them, they’ll be wondering why you’re doing that.’
The debates all seemed to kick off when Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share a topless photo of herself that her four-year-old daughter North had apparently taken.
People didn’t seem impressed, with one fan tweeting: ‘North West just took a scandalous picture of Kim Kardashian and people are shook.’
And another person said: ‘Why would you get your daughter to take a pic like this? Come on Kim.’
Since then a number of celebrities have come out and said that their children have also seen them naked.
Marina Fogle revealed that she and her husband even have baths with their two children, Ludo, eight, and Iona, six, and that they aren’t ‘fazed’ by seeing their parents in the nuddy.
The 38-year-old told the Mail on Sunday: ‘I’ve never been shy about my body, and Ben and I enjoy piling in to the bath with our children.
‘I’ve never been prudish about them seeing me naked, and they certainly aren’t fazed by it. However, as Ludo matures emotionally and physically, I have wondered whether I ought to reconsider our blasé attitude to nudity.’

She added: ‘I heave a sigh of relief that my imperfect body – cesarean-scarred and stretch-marked, and with breasts that bear the hallmarks of two well-fed babies – is still serving to give my children a healthy view of what a normal body looks like in a world of Instagram filters.’
