Destiny 2 Season of Opulence
Destiny 2 is preparing to launch it's next game defining DLC release, Season of Opulence. The last slice of year 2 content promised by Bungie will deliver a lot for fans of the long-running shooter.
Bungie has already promised "new challenges, loot, and lore" alongside an action-packed roadmap of content.
"Seasonal ranks for ritual activities will be reset once more, with a fresh set of Pinnacle weapons available to earn," teased the team in a blog post. "The Iron Banner will be updated with a seasonal Quest to unlock armor. This summer, the Solstice of Heroes event returns with new rewards."
This is, however, just the tip of the iceberg. There's so much more on top. A new raid, more end-game content, the new 6v6 Managerie mode and that's before we get to all the juicy extra's the devs will sprinkle on top.
WHEN DOES SEASON OF OPULENCE START?
Season of Opulence starts today, June 4, 2019 going live once the games weekly reset concludes. A new update for the game will be available to download following some short server downtime, which is set to begin at 8:00 am PST, which in the UK is 4pm BST.
Two hours later and Destiny 2 should hopefully be ready to play again, with Season of Opulence live. This shall be Destiny 2 update 2.5.0.1.
SEASON OF OPULENCE CONTENT
Season of Opulence is still very much, under wraps. But that hasn't stopped Bungie from sharing some details about the upcoming season of content, sharing a rough (subject to change) content calendar. So heres a rundown of what is coming, split for ease into the free stuff and content only available to Annual pass holders:

DESTINY 2 SEASON OF OPULENCE ROADMAP
As with the last two seasons of content, Bungie has also provided fans with a content roadmap for the major DLC drops coming as part of the Season of Opulence.

JUNE 4 – Menagerie and Crown of Sorrows Raid
JUNE 11 – New Menagerie Boss and Truth Rocket Launcher Exotic Quest
JUNE 18 – New Menagerie Boss and Iron Banner Quest
JUNE 25 – Menagerie Heroic Mode
JULY 2 – Lumina Hand Cannon Exotic Quest
JULY 9 – Tribute Hall and Moments of Triumph
JULY 30 – Solstice of Heroes and Gambit Free to All Players
CROWN OF SORROWS RAID
Yes, there's a new Raid, this time called 'The Crown of Sorrows' and it goes live a few short hours after Season of Opulence is released.
To be more specific, it goes live at 4:00 pm PST on June 4, 2019. Which is actually midnight June 5 for anyone in the UK.
Once again it'll be a race to decide the worlds first completion for the new raid. Like most of the content, the secrets of the raid is being kept close to Bungie's chest, but it's believed to be something Hive focused.
From day one, power levels will be capped at 700 for the initial encounter as well as 720 for the final encounter.
NEW PINNACLE WEAPONS THIS SEASON?
Of course there will be new pinnacle weapons. It wouldn't be a new season with new pinnacle weapons. Take a look at them below:
