Dark Souls Trilogy is arriving this October (Picture: From Software)

Bandai Namco have announced a new collection combining all three Dark Souls games, which will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 19 October.

The Dark Souls Trilogy contains Dark Souls Remastered which released earlier this year, alongside the slightly reworked Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin and Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades edition.

Crucially, it also includes all the DLC released across all three titles; the original Dark Souls Artorias Of The Abyss, Dark Soul 2s Crown Of The Sunken King, Crown Of The Old Iron King and Crown Of The Ivory King, alongside Dark Soul 3s Ashes Of Ariandel and The Ringed City.

Bandai Namco executive Jenn Tsang, said: The Dark Souls Trilogy gives those who havent played the Dark Souls series a great opportunity to jump in and experience what has become one of the most influential video game series of the past decade.

The magic of Dark Souls lies within its ability to challenge players with highly rewarding gameplay and deliver a euphoric sense of accomplishment after beating a particularly tough boss, or area in the game.

The package will be available in both digital and physical versions, the latter having a limited run of steelbook cases which will cost $79.99 in the US (£62).

Dark Souls Trilogy wont include Demon Souls and also, oddly, releases on the same day as Dark Souls Remastered on Nintendo Switch – which feels slightly like a kick in the teeth.

Dark Souls Trilogy releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 19 October.
